A 12 year old girl deals with her parent’s break up, and the failing health of her grandfather. The actors are all wonderful and the setting is in beautiful West Virginia. This is the kind of film I miss seeing. Real people living real lives, and doing their best to do the right thing. Well done.
Gave this a watch tonight. It's the story of a family at various stages of falling apart. Parents separated, young daughter rebelling by getting a tattoo and sneaking out at night~at 12?! Grandparents no longer together and one basically dying. Road trip to visit each other, will they fix their lives and figure things out? The writing is bad with this one. The fighting is pretty bad at points as well, makes it unbelievable that they would even be in a car together. Then there was a whole secondary story with Luanna and how she was finding notes from an abusive relationship~ A head scratcher for why that was even put into the movie...The girl Peyton Kennedy and the old grandpa were highlights though...
