WHAAT?! Where did this one come from?! WHOA, where to start how much I enjoyed this movie. It's fun. If you are a fan of Kirstie Alley, then you'll definitely enjoy your very precious time on this memory. I had to search my soul to see if I am a fan, and as it turns out, from what little of her work I've have seen, I enjoy her and her work. I may not agree with her personal life, but I wish her well and at peace. Me being a "writer" and "director" I'm concerned of turning this review into a blog post, because as those professions know...more is always better. This movie has everything; there is even a mention of murder in it. This movie is very entertaining and a very true status of how Hollyweird works. The writing is smart, clever, and quick. It has moxy, heart, soul, truth and jokes. Love the jokes. It feels like a lot of the fun that Kirstie portrays through the character comes from her. Kudos and I enjoy her spunk (don't be gross, I mean it in an earnest way) For only a 1.5 hour long movie, it's the kind of movie that so much happens and you look at the time and think, holy smokes, we are only 30 minutes into it and I get to enjoy a whole hour more. Sweet. Not to give anything away, because who wants to know the ending of Titanic before you see the movie, right? The lead actors were all very well cast, the chemistry is excellent and endearing. And I think the production values are really good for which I assume is a smaller budget film, but it doesn't feel so small budget. There are some twist and turns and it actually has got it all, like I've said. When I really like a movie I usually research the stuffings out of it, the actors, the writers, the production history of it, but I can't this time, I'm going to watch it again right after I finish this review. If you've come this far, than hit play and enjoy and if you enjoy it like I did, then write a review of why you like it so much. If for some reason you didn't like it, then shhhhh, the movies back on.
Ditto what “Jake W” said! So very entertaining! Kirstie is fabulous. I liked this best of all her movies. So hoping there’s more to come since she was executive producer. Really entertaining. Both my husband and I laughed and enjoyed it. Watch it !!
