I don't play poker and mostly ignore it if my husband is watching it on tv. So the spouse is watching this, and I'm like, poker, meh...and then about a quarter of the way into it, I was totally engrossed. Like, this is REALLY INTERESTING. Jennifer Tilly is lovely, there's a bunch of information about the psychology of the game, the interviews with the women players were personal and interesting. The social experiment of seeing if other players respond differently to playing opposite a man or a woman was surprising. My husband perked up whenever he saw poker players he knew of or recognized.
I went from "poker, meh" to, "this is fascinating."
It was also interesting to see what drew these women to poker. They all have such a passion for the game. It's inspiring to see people who have a passion for things. Worth watching.
